The demos were fun as the enthusiastic fans cheered and wowed the the demo teams on.

Lark performed flawlessly, except for the fact that some of the floating discs did not want to come down to meet her anxious teeth!
Of course the day would not be totally complete without a little adventure.
The sound system that was provided for us went belly up which delayed the event by just a few minutes until one of the team members just happened to drag out their old system that they had with them in their car.
I took Rue out onto the field to see if she would warm up to playing disc in a new environment. That lasted for all of two minutes before she decided to go "explore" the UC Davis campus at a full run, with several humans in tow. Sigh.

Even though Team Vader's "camp" was stuck out in no-man's corner away from the rest of the team, that turned into an awesome day of fan engagement for Vader's World, making this event even more fun for us in general as we entertained numerous folks who came by! if you click on the image, take a look at that awesome UC Davis crowd!
But aside from the few tiny blips on the day, it turned out to be a fantastic day. UC Davis has some of the best crowds and I wish we could sway them to come follow the disc dog club to our competitions! The cheering makes the event just that much more insanely fun.
That's that now!
